About Kuwait
The State of Kuwait is a small country located in the Middle-East, situated at the tip of the Arabian Gulf, bordering Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
The weather in Kuwait is characterized by hot summers (May-November) and short cool winters (December-February). Mid February-May is considered spring and the weather is known for being moderate during this time.
Kuwait’s official language is Arabic, but English is widely used and is taught in all schools and universities. All traffic signs in Kuwait are bilingual (English and Arabic).
The national currency is the Kuwaiti dinar symbolized as KWD. 1 Kuwaiti dinar is approximately equivalent to 3.3 US dollars.
Citizens of Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bhutan, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Laos, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, The People’s Republic of China-Hong Kong, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Vatican may obtain a tourist visa on arrival to Kuwait if arriving by air. Tourist visas can either be obtained at the airport or applied for online in advance (an "e-Visa") at the Ministry of Interior's e-Visa website: https://evisa.moi.gov.kw/evisa/home_e.do. All other nationals need advance visas, which require an invitation from a sponsor in Kuwait.

Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre

Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre (JACC)
The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, informally known as the Kuwait Opera House, is a prominent cultural center in Kuwait, located on the Gulf Road in the capital Kuwait City. It is the largest cultural center and opera house in the Middle East.
Kuwait Towers
Kuwait Towers is a group of three slender towers that symbolizes Kuwait’s economic resurgence and also World cultural as well as touristic landmark. The structure is often referred to as Kuwait tower in singular although there are three towers. Standing on a promontory into the Arabian Gulf, Kuwait towers were officially inaugurated in 1979 and are rated as a tourist attraction and iconic building of modern Kuwait.
Al Shaheed Park
Al Shaheed Park is the largest urban park in Kuwait. It's easy to spend a whole day in Kuwait's largest urban park, which has jogging and walking paths covering more than 2km. The green space contains botanical gardens, a lake and palm trees galore, plus restaurants and two museums (the Habitat and Memorial Museums). Just outside the main park area is a cycle track and designated 'resting place' for migrating birds. Fully lit at night, the park is a nice outdoor space to explore of an evening during the warmer months.
Kuwait Scientific Center
One of the largest aquariums in the Middle East is housed in this sail-shaped building. The giant spider crabs (3.8m leg to leg), fluorescent jellyfish and floor-to-ceiling shark and ray tanks are especially cool. At the interactive Discovery Place, kids can perform science experiments, make sand dunes or roll a piece of road. An IMAX theatre shows 45-minute 3D educational videos about the natural world.
